OIYPP’s philosophy is deeply rooted in reciprocity, leadership, dialogue, action and mentorship, focusing on mutual learning experiences to bridge the gap between Indigenous youth and their supporters, ultimately building a stronger and more equitable future together.

It recognizes the urgent need for solutions that are led and understood by Indigenous Peoples not only to improve lives in Indigenous communities, but also as a resource for solving social, economic and environmental challenges around the world for everyone.
